Jackie Lauer, President and Founder
Jackie brings over 14 years of experience in management, human relations and systems development to her work as an executive consultant and coach. Prior to launching Axletree Consulting she managed large-scale sales and marketing initiatives in the Education (public and private) and Telecommunications Sectors with such organizations as Carleton University, ITI Information Technology Institute and Nortel Networks.
She has managed as many as 200 individuals. As a leader, she soon learned her talents were in facilitating buy in for large-scale change initiatives and developing the leadership skills of those around her.
Her approach is based on proven coaching methods, integrating individual performance, personal development, change management and well being, with business results.
Trained in Change Management methodologies, Jackie combines her knowledge of assessments and change strategies with her training at the Coaches Training Institute and the B-Coach (Business Coaching) program, as well as being certified in Emotional Intelligence. Her coaching supports increased awareness, allowing leaders to take more purposeful action, build greater competence, and increased confidence as individuals learn how to become more efficient and effective. By integrating skillful use of intention, reflection, dialogue and action to transform vision into reality, her clients experience genuine and sustained change.
A well known speaker, she is often an invited keynote speaker on topics relating to leadership including emotional intelligence and creating and sustaining change. She is known by her clients for her “No BS” approach, her warmth and humour and her ability to stay focused on the bigger picture.
Jeff Capel, Senior Partner, Consulting Services
Jeff is an accomplished versatile management consultant. He is a Senior Partner at Axletree Consulting Inc. working in management consulting services. With over two decades of managerial and entrepreneurial experiences, he has refined his analytical and problem solving skills. Coupled with his warm leadership style and his exposure to a variety of organizations through a cross section of industries, he provides his clients with a broad knowledge base and expertise to weather change, align your people and consistently deliver on initiatives. Known by his clients as a man with integrity, he brings warmth, determination and experience to all his projects.
Jeff is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and has a post-graduate business diploma from Wilfrid Laurier University. Prior to joining Axletree as a Senior Partner, he worked in commercial lending and analysis, investment planning and business development consulting. With experience in both running his own business and working in the corporate commercial environment he understands full well what it takes to lead a team and a business to success.
